Applications for entry into a programme are registered when a completed Application form, with the required attachments are received. Programmes and courses are held subject to a minimum number of enrolments by the closing date. If this number is not reached the course may not proceed. On the other hand, late enrolments will be considered if there are still places available on the course.
General Fees Information Students not resident in New Zealand are required by the New Zealand Immigration Service to pay full fees in advance (into a Trust Fund) as a condition for receiving a Student Permit. Australians do not require a Student Permit to study in New Zealand Hostel fees paid fully in advance are subject to a considerable discount. Tuition Fee payments are due on the first day the course commences. All fees must be paid in full by this date unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in writing with the Taruna Manager. Students who have not paid all fees by the due date may be denied admission to classes and shall not be eligible for awarding of credits until all approved fees are paid. All funds received from prospective students are held in an independent Trust Fund until the eighth day of the course. Tuition fees for New Zealanders, and Australians living in New Zealand, are lower than for overseas students due to a Government subsidies paid to Taruna for students resident in New Zealand.

A Student Permit is an endorsement in your passport, which allows you to study in New Zealand. It will state the expiry date of your permit and the conditions of your permit. The conditions specified may include:
You may apply for a Student Permit if you are a visitor or a worker in New Zealand and wish to study full time. Your course of study and educational institution must be approved for foreign students. The educational institute will advise you if the institute and the course are approved (see below). If you have any queries contact the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA). The Diploma in Rudolf Steiner Education, Art of Health and Certificate in Applied Organics and Biodynamics have been approved by the NZQA for foreign students. Further details are available from the New Zealand Immigration Service, PO Box 948, Palmerston North, New Zealand phone (64)-6-3591956; fax (64)-6-3569010 or from their web site http://www.immigration.govt.nz/study/. To apply for a Student Permit you will need our official Offer of Place to Foreign Student, a guarantee of accommodation and evidence of the availability of sufficient funds (or return ticket) for your repatriation (travel home), and sufficient funds for your maintenance (living) during your stay in New Zealand, i.e. the amount of NZ$7000 per year. The Offer of Placement to Foriegn Student is issued by Taruna once the Tuition fees have been received. International students need to pay course fees in advance, which we place into a Trust Fund (see above). The funds are released to the College when fees become due on the eighth day of the course.
http://www.immigration.govt.nz/offices/ - for a list of their offices around the world. To get a permit you need to have our receipt for course fees paid in advance - we put them in an escrow Trust Fund for safe keeping. They are refundable if you do not start or if we cancel the course through insufficient enrolments. However we cannot give you a receipt for the tuition fees until we receive them so the following information will assist timely processing. We suggest sending Tuition fees with the registration fee – it is cheaper as you only have to pay one transmission fee to the bank. The following information about the Trust account you will need in order to send money by Electronic Funds Transfer (ETF) [probably the easiest method]:
At the same time, as a cross-check, please let our Secretary know the amount of funds that you are transferring and other relevant details.
