Taruna College New Zealand is a centre for Adult Education offering an exciting range of formal and informal holistic courses and subjects inspired by the work of Rudolf Steiner PhD. such as: Waldorf Teacher Education, Biodynamic Organic Agriculture, Anthroposophical Nursing, Art of Health and Coaching and Biography Workshops.

Classroom Teaching and Self-Directed Study

The seminars will include:

  • Workshops
  • Small group work discussions
  • Lectures and discussions
  • Artistic experience through a variety of media
  • Exploration through movement

Students should be able to commit to between 3 - 5 hours per week for this home based study. During the periods between the on-campus seminar students will be set a variety of self-directed activities and projects including:

  • Artistic exercises, recording observations & processes
  • Contemporary issues investigation – extending seminar learning
  • Course related assignments including short research projects & essays

Materials
Most art materials and equipment required for the on-campus study blocks will be provided by Taruna. Upon acceptance into this programme, students will be responsible for the purchase of art and study materials required for the home-based study (a list of requirements will be provided in the programme handbook).
