Tutors
The Staff consists of a Programme Director, an assistant Programme Director, a Faculty Carrying Group member and a variety of part-time experienced tutors, all of who have many years of experience in their particular field.
The Art of Health Programme Director is:
Michelle Vette: RN (Comp), Cert Anthroposophical Nursing, Cert CBE, Post Grad Dip Health Studies, Masters candidate: Michelle coordinates this programme along with the Taruna’s Graduate Diploma in Anthroposophical Nursing. The opportunity to bring the anthroposophical health perspective alongside current pictures is also part of Michelle’s work life in an anthroposophical nurse led clinic at Weleda. Supporting families and child and women’s health has been a strong focus. Michelle has enjoyed working in adult education especially responding to the questions that live amongst our communities about ourselves and our relationship to ourselves, each other and health.
Assistant Programme Director is:
Maria Melino: B Ed (secondary Art),Dip T: Maria is assistant programme director on the Art of Health and DRSE programmes at Taruna as well providing art tutoring and professional development in art at Taruna. Maria has had 25 years of involvement in Steiner education in New Zealand and Australia, working with the curriculum at all age levels. Her specialty area is Art and Art history out of anthroposophy. In recent years Maria has worked in mainstream primary and secondary schools and in creative community projects. She is active in Education Research and her own Art practise.
On the Art of Health Faculty Carrying Group is:
Kristina Friedlander, RGON, Cert Anthroposophical Nursing,: Kristina works as an anthroposophical nurse therapist at Hohepa Home School for children with disabilities and in independent nursing practice. Kristina has worked in anthroposophical medical settings both in New Zealand and overseas both in hospitals and community settings. Kristina is also an experienced adult educator specialising in bringing a revitalised picture of health to both professionals and care givers. She is also a faculty carrying group member in Taruna’s Nursing Faculty. Kristina is passionate about art, music and travel as well as the mysteries of the plant world. |
