Certificate in Holistic Healthcare
The Certificate in Holistic Healthcare is a part time, year long programme for nurses and health professionals interested in engaging in a comprehensive, dynamic holistic model of care. The programme develops the capacity for personal observation and supports an active process of understanding and experience in a new paradigm. Learning is enabled through artistic sessions, reflection and the creation of space and impetus for a personal inner journey. A range of practical and effective new skills and therapies are introduced. This contemporary approach to incorporating a spiritual dimension to our knowledge of the human being can be integrated into healthcare practice to meet the challenging shift in consciousness coming towards us from the communities we serve.
The programme has three 7-day seminars at Taruna, and the rest of the study is done from home. At the end of the programme graduates will:
- Be able to practice the skills of external applications
- Have an understanding of the healing qualities of plants
- Have an understanding of the theory and skills of holistic healthcare that ensures health practitioners are effective at meeting the patients holistic health needs (physical, soul, spiritual)
- Be able to better help patients explore the meaning of illness and being responsible for their wellness
- Be able to apply a spiritual integrated model of the human being in their professional practice.
The Certificate in Holistic Healthcare is to health what organics is to agriculture.
