Testimonials from the Diploma in Holistic Healthcare.

(Note: from 2001 - 2008 this programme was called the Graduate Diploma in Anthroposophicval Nursing)

"As a new graduate of the Graduate Diploma in Anthroposophical Nursing, I look back over the last three years and see a wealth of new learning and experiences I have encountered. I have gained a raft of new colleagues, all with an interest in anthroposophical nursing. The support given by Taruna College and the Faculty Carrying Group was incredible without which I could not have completed this course. The course is run very professionally while catering for the special character of anthroposophy."
Stephne Bennett, Dunedin

"This programme has been of great benefit for me. Especially in the way I seem to have obtained a new pair of eyes, the way I observe clients (patients) is a very unique one. The way I can support a patient is so much more direct. There is a lot of emphasis on self-development, which makes life very meaningful and colourful. The best thing about this programme for me was the introduction to Goethe's theory of plant life and  how these qualities of the plants can support human systems are powerful tools to work with."
Liesbeth Kouwenberg, Clive, Hawkes Bay

"In the material sense I now have a Graduate Diploma and gained professional development, however what is even more meaningful is the rich inner personal development gained through the course. In travelling 6 times from Australia I have faced many challenges and gained many insightful experiences that have enriched my soul and spirit.
I have come to realise the ‘big picture’ and see how my level of consciousness gives me the freedom and the inner capacity to provide holistic nursing care. To me Anthroposophical Nursing is the enhancement of the fundamental human qualities of warmth, love and compassion, provided to the patient in an organised and rational manner.
It must be said we students had some fun times as colleagues and with the tutors as well, who were very supportive and extended their knowledge/ expertise continually over the 3 years.  The clinical instruction was enhanced with observation and artistic activities that gave deeper understanding of the substances used in the nursing treatments and the natural processes inherent in these substances and in the treatments. I am thankful for the opportunity to have completed this course with this wonderful bunch of people, in such a beautiful country. "
Vassili Yovanovic, Melbourne , Australia

"This programme adds soul and spiritual aspect to my nursing practice, which is the most important in our caring profession. Not just in the aspect of knowledge, skills and attitude.  It has helped me with my life direction, and I would recommend it to all the nurses. It counters the materialistic forces in our modern world. The best thing about this programme was the warm camaraderie of nurses during the course and the true essence of caring for one another and each other without discrimination."
Damarisa Ceriales, Philippines
