Taruna College New Zealand is a centre for Adult Education offering an exciting range of formal and informal holistic courses and subjects inspired by the work of Rudolf Steiner PhD. such as: Waldorf Teacher Education, Biodynamic Organic Agriculture, Anthroposophical Nursing, Art of Health and Coaching and Biography Workshops.

 

Sculpture from Abstraction to Realism
(20th century to 19th century)

with Joeke de Vries.

Looking at the key sculptors who brought about change and using their drawing styles as a means to explore their work.

2010 dates and seminars:

15 Feb: Henry Moore  (drawing exercise)
22 Feb: Barbara Hepworth  (pastel or charcoal drawing)
  1 Mar: Brancusi / Hans Arp  (charcoal drawing or clay)
  8 Mar: Alberto Giacometti  (dynamic drawing / clay)
15 Mar: Ernst Barlach  (charcoal drawing / clay)
29 Mar: Maillol / Rodin  (charcoal / pencil and wash) 

Fees: The full course is $150; individual sessions are $25. Materials included in cost. 

Dates: Mondays  7pm – 9pm

Venue: Taruna, 33 Te Mata Peak Road, Havelock North
