Term dates for the Diploma in Rudolf Steiner Education 2011 are as follows:-

Powhiri (welcoming onto the land):
Sunday 13 February at 5pm
Enrolment and orientation: Monday 14 February

Term 1:  Monday 14 February to Friday 15 April  [45 days]
Term 2:  Monday  May 2 to Friday 15 July  [50 days] *
Term 3:  Monday 1 August to Friday 7 October [50 days]
Term 4:  Tuesday 25 October to Friday 9 December [34 days]
*There is a mid-term study week break from 6-10th June.
All public holidays fall within school breaks.

School placement dates:
Term 2: Monday 4 July to Friday 8 July (observation week)
Term 3: Monday 19 September to Friday 7 October (teaching practice)

General structure of the daily/weekly timetable: 
Monday to Friday

Note: There will be a half day on Wednesdays and most Fridays to allow for private study and tutorials or meetings. There are talks on Friday evenings which participants are free to attend. Also there are occasional weekend courses which participants may elect to join (at a reduced rate), though neither the talks nor the weekend workshops form part of the Diploma Programme.


8:30 am     Session 1 on the module theme for 1-4 weeks
                  (Fridays: eurythmy).

9:45 am     Artistic activity (painting, drawing, modelling, singing, speech, music)

10:45 am    Morning break.

11.15 am    Session 2 on the theme of the week

12:30 pm    Lunch Break.

2 pm           Practical activity (Bothmer gym, BD gardening,  woodwork etc or related to the theme of the week)

4:30 pm      Finish
