Fees

New Zealand citizens and residents: $4,750 (indicative)

International students: $10,950 NZD (indicative)

These fees cover course readings and handouts, study texts (through Taruna’s library) and art/craft supplies used on-site during the programme. Where participants elect to undertake larger craft projects, which use more than the allocated amount of materials, a charge for the extra used will be made.

Participants will need to purchase:

  • Personal stationery and writing materials;
  • Art materials to be used for practice at home;
  • We recommend students purchase their own descant recorder for use on site during the programme;
  • A pair of eurythmy shoes (a light soft-soled shoe). (These can be ordered at the start of the programme but take about 4 weeks for delivery.)

Observation and Teaching Sections during the year may be in Auckland, Tauranga, Hamilton, Hastings, Raumati, Lower Hutt, Motueka or Christchurch.

Taruna College will subsidise the cost of participants travelling to the South Island to undertake an Observation or Teaching Section should a place not be available in the North Island up to $150.

The Programme Director will make travel arrangements for these participants, who will need to contribute the remaining cost for the travel.

Host schools may arrange board/accommodation for Visiting Student Teachers if required. You should allow for the cost of board at $150 to $200 per week while visiting distant schools.  You may be able to make your own accommodation arrangements within easy reach of the host school.
